Channel 4 Film The Journey of Couples Marrying in Gretna

It was the sunniest day of the summer, and let’s face it, it may be the last we will see this summer and I was setting up my stand at the Anvil Hall, Gretna for that weekend’s wedding fayre.  Organised by Tranquillity Events, the Anvil Hall was host to a spectrum of providers to the wedding industry.  From photography, transport, hair, make-up, accommodation, favours and flowers, it had everything needed for couples to make preparations for wedding day bliss.

The catwalk event showcasing glamorous outfits for the mother of the bride, flower girls and the bride to be was stunning and with kilted men taking to the runway there was something there for the groom too.

As I dressed the Jessica Florence Jewellery table, lavishing it with my handmade tiaras, pearl bracelets perfect for flower girls and newest designs of bridal hair pins, I noticed that it was not only the photographer walking around with a camera.  I was quickly told that Channel 4 Firecracker Films were there filming for a new documentary.  Following the journey, trials and tribulations of couples marrying in Gretna Green they attended the wedding fayre and recorded the goings on as part of their film.

I was delighted when they approached me asking if they could film my display full of bridal jewellery and accessories and stood back whilst they did their stuff.  You never know Jessica Florence Jewellery may make it onto the big screens yet!

If you are looking for bridal jewellery, tiaras or hair accessories and would like a unique and bespoke commission, please get in touch and I will be happy to help.
