It's October already, but the sun is still shining and the summer flip flops are still being worn around the studio - is this what they class as an Indian summer?
This month my popular birstone bracelet incorporates the subtle pink tones of the Tourmaline, represented by the hues of the pink Swarovski crystals. Tourmalines are a relatively recent discovery, known by some as the peace stone, making the wearer dispell fear and become calmer.
This is an alternative stone with Opal also being the birthstone for October. Opal displays a rainbow of colours and is formed in near surface volcanic rocks with a pearly appearance due to small gas bubbles.
The pale pink colour of the tourmaline which I use in my bracelets sits perfectly alongside the sterling silver beads, creating a subtle but equally elegant bracelet. Hand strung in my studio the bracelets are a popular choice as a bithday gift and can be made for any age in various sizes.
If you are looking for the perfect gift but not quite sure what to get, then my birthstones bracelets are perfect. Not only stunning, but they have a sentimental attachment to the wearer.
