Celebrate July Birthdays With A Birthstone Bracelet

My look at birthstones continues today ahead as I focus on July’s birthstone: the Ruby.
Rubies are considered the King of gems and are seen to represent love, health and wisdom. It was also believed that by wearing a ruby that it bestowed good fortune on the wearer.
The glowing ruby shall adorn,
Those who in July are born;
Then they'll be exempt and free
From love's doubts and anxiety.
For those who were born in the month of July, the poem above reflects some of the properties with which the Ruby is associated, namely devotion, integrity, courage and happiness.
The Traditional Metaphysical Properties for the Ruby are vitality, confidence and strength while the healing properties are reputed to be effective for health problems relating to the blood and infection and increasing positive thought patterns. The Ruby is also used to enhance energy, generosity and to bring prosperity and success.
It is also the most valuable of gemstone with its value increasing based on its colour and its quality. It is little wonder then that rubies have been the prized possession of Emperors and Kings throughout the ages. To this day the Ruby is the most valued gemstone.
The most important, and most famous, feature of a ruby is its red colouring. That colouring ranges from an orange-red to an almost bluey red. The most valuable colour of ruby, and also the brightest, is often referred to as a “Burmese ruby” - a moniker that accurately evokes a rich, hot, full red colour.
With the Ruby’s colour firmly in mind, I’ve created a piece of jewellery that will make the perfect gift for a loved one with a birthday in July.
The piece is a gorgeous hand-beaded sterling silver bracelet that is adorned with ruby coloured Swarovski crystals. These crystals will sparkle in the light while the piece itself is finished off with a sterling silver puff heart charm. It’s an elegant piece that will find a home in any jewellery collection and is available for just £30.00.
Contact me to find out more about this piece or to discuss using rubies for a bespoke piece of jewellery you have in mind.
