More and more often people are coming to Jessica Florence Jewellery in order to have a piece of jewellery for a special occasion created for them.
In a blog last week, I highlighted pieces that were especially designed by me for Holy Communions. Today, I will look at several pieces I designed and created for brides ahead of their big day.
Annie was looking for a hair accessory to be designed for her wedding day. Because she has short hair that is full of body, it was important to design something which was not going to flatten her hair but still give her that dream fairy-tale look.
Once establishing what Annie’s dress was like, and taking a sample of the material to colour match as best I could, I decided to create for her a hair vine. The piece had an antique effect diamante flowers and mink coloured beads which would complement the colours in her wedding dress.
Subtle hints of sparkle were then added with Swarovski crystals and the hair vine was crafted and shaped so that it would sit from the front of Annie’s forehead, along to her ear which left her hair to sit perfectly around the vine.
To compliment her look, I created a simple beaded bracelet with a sterling silver filigree clasp and, with Annie not being a big fan of earrings, instead I was able to create for her some simple small drop earrings using the same beads used in the hair vine.
Emma was looking for a hair pin to sit along with her veil which was not too imposing.
After finding out what Emma liked and what budget she had in place, I created a sketch for Emma to show a design and the materials I proposed to use on the veil.
The hair pin was created with pearl beads of varying sizes, leaves shaped out of seed beads and sparkles created from Swarovski crystals.
I was able to design the perfect hair pin for an elegant bride to accompany her stylish wedding dress.
